Larry the Abyssinian: A Unique Welcome Home Dance

As I unlock the front door and step inside my house after a long day at work, I am always greeted by the familiar sound of tiny paws padding towards me. I know exactly who it is – my mischievous Abyssinian cat, Larry.

It took some time and a bit of training to get Larry to ride on my shoulders, but once he figured it out, there was no stopping him. Now, every time I walk through the door, he eagerly jumps up onto my shoulders, purring contentedly as he nuzzles his head against my cheek.

But if for some reason I refuse to let him climb up, Larry has a backup plan. Without warning, he will launch himself onto me from behind, surprising me with his ninja-like agility. I can’t help but laugh at his antics, marveling at his determination to always be close to me.

As I go about my evening routine, Larry remains perched on my shoulders, occasionally reaching down to tap me on the head with his paw or nuzzle into my hair. His presence is a comforting reminder that I am loved unconditionally by this little furry ball of energy.

No matter how stressful my day has been, coming home to Larry’s enthusiastic greetings never fails to bring a smile to my face. He may be a silly guy, but he has a heart full of love and loyalty that I am grateful for each and every day.
